Our Heritage
Apostolic Succession

The Communion of Anglican Churches International (CACI) upholds apostolic succession through historic episcopal lines from the Church in England, as well as through the Old Catholic Church and Baltic Lutheran traditions. These lines reflect continuity with the apostolic witness of the early Church, including the ministry of Saint Peter. We are a global church body that brings together charismatic, evangelical, and Anglo-Catholic expressions of the Christian faith. We affirm the authority of Scripture, the transforming power of the Holy Spirit, and the richness of sacramental worship rooted in the Anglican tradition.

The Most Reverend Randall J. Pike serves as Acting Moderator of the Communion of Anglican Churches International, Bishop of the Diocese of the Midwest, and Bishop Ordinary of St. Augustine Anglican Church.

The Most Reverend Santhana Peter, Archbishop

Archbishop, CACI South Asia

Since 2017, Archbishop Peter has served as a member of the CACI Council of Bishops, providing leadership and oversight to The Most High Mission Anglican Synod and the Global Impact Mission Diocese. In this capacity, he presides over a network of 557 Anglican clergy and 22 bishops throughout the CACI South Asia region, which includes Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and the Maldives.

Bishop, Diocese the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic

Bishop Bunting serves as Bishop of the Diocese of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. He provides oversight to Angel of Hope Ministry in Camden, Delaware; youth ministry initiatives serving churches in Wilmington, Delaware; a nursing home ministry; and a traveling evangelistic ministry based in Hurricane, West Virginia.

The Right Reverend Dr. Zerai Gebrehiwot

Bishop, Province of the Horn of Africa and the Diocese of East Africa

The Right Reverend Dr. Zerai Gebrehiwot serves as Bishop of the Province of the Horn of Africa and the Diocese of East Africa, Ethiopia. He serves as Chancellor of St. Alcuin House Theological Seminary.

The Right Reverend Dr. Michael Allerton

The Right Reverend Dr. Michael Allerton

Bishop, Diocese of the West

The Right Reverend Dr. Michael Allerton serves as Bishop of the Diocese of the West within the Communion of Anglican Churches International. A full citizen of the Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska, Bishop Allerton brings both cultural depth and pastoral commitment to his ministry. He received his Master of Divinity in 2007 and his Doctorate in Philosophy in 2012 from Saint Alcuin House Seminary. As a member of the Order of St. Alcuin (OSA), he remains dedicated to the formation of clergy, the faithful proclamation of the Gospel, and the strengthening of the Church through sound teaching and sacramental life.

The Right Reverend Dr. Jose Moreno

Bishop, Diocese of Sao Paulo, Brazil

Bishop Moreno currently serves as the CACI Bishop of the Diocese of São Paulo, Brazil. He entered Holy Orders as a Deacon in 1975, was ordained to the Priesthood in 1980, and was consecrated as a Bishop in 2004 within the CACI.
